Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or trauma.
- Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and behavioral management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; ensure confidentiality of all patient information.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment outcomes and evidence-based practices.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote therapy sessions while ensuring quality patient care.
Skills
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or patients with chronic pain.
- Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish; culturally competent in serving diverse populations.
- Experience with telehealth technology platforms for remote patient engagement.
- Knowledge of social work principles, case management practices, and clinical research methodologies.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy while maintaining professional boundaries.
