Production Operator III Lead

Comstock Metals LLC is pioneering the recycling of end-of-life electrification products, including solar panels, to prevent landfill waste while recovering valuable metals for reuse. You will serve as the Production Operator III Lead, is responsible for coordinating daily production activities and providing frontline leadership to production personnel. In this role, you will serve as the primary resource for Production Operators, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality operations while supporting production schedules and operational objectives. You will work closely with the Production Supervisor to maintain workflow, resolve operational issues, train employees and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

As an ideal candidate, we expect you to have:
- High school diploma or GED required, with 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, recycling, mining, or other production-based environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including at least one year in a lead operator, senior operator, team lead, or similar role with responsibility for guiding and supporting production teams.
- Strong knowledge of production equipment, manufacturing processes, operational workflows, and workplace safety practices within an industrial environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production setting.
- Experience in metals recycling, materials processing, manufacturing, or mining operations is preferred; forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification is a plus.
Your specific responsibilities as a Production Operator III Lead will include:
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of Production Operators by assigning work, prioritizing production schedules, providing operational guidance, and supporting team performance throughout the shift.
- Monitor production processes, material flow, equipment performance, and workflow efficiency to ensure production goals, quality standards, and schedule requirements are consistently achieved.
- Train, mentor, and support team members while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous learning, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Promote a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements, conducting safety observations, and assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements, reducing waste, improving productivity, and communicating operational updates, performance metrics, and production issues to leadership.
