Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its San Francisco office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated commercial disputes and wants substantial responsibility on complex litigation matters. The practice represents clients across a broad spectrum of industries in high-stakes business disputes involving commercial contracts, real estate, corporate governance, bankruptcy-related issues, and other complex litigation matters. The team values collaboration, strategic thinking, strong advocacy skills, and attorneys who are eager to take ownership of cases while working directly with clients.
What You'll Do

Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.

Handle disputes involving business operations, commercial agreements, real estate, corporate governance, creditor rights, and bankruptcy-related issues.

Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other substantive court filings.

Manage all phases of discovery, including written discovery, document review, e-discovery, and depositions.

Participate in case strategy development, mediation, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Conduct legal research and prepare analyses on complex legal issues.

Assist with trial preparation, witness preparation, and courtroom proceedings.

Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups to develop effective litigation strategies.
What We're Looking For

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Active membership in the California Bar.

4-6 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting.

Strong experience with motion practice, discovery management, depositions, and case strategy.

Demonstrated ability to manage substantial aspects of complex litigation matters independently.

Excellent legal writing, analytical, research, and oral advocacy skills.

Experience handling sophisticated business disputes involving commercial, real estate, corporate governance, landlord-tenant, or bankruptcy-related issues.

Prior large law firm or sophisticated litigation boutique experience preferred.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
