Responsibilities
- Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing techniques to drywall surfaces for a flawless finish
- Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work
- Install corner beads, trims, and other accessories to enhance wall durability and appearance
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute finishing details
- Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to ensure seamless project coordination
- Perform repairs related to water damage restoration, mold remediation, or general drywall issues
- Maintain safety standards and ensure work areas are clean and organized throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall finishing within construction sites or renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Skilled in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing techniques
- Familiarity with related trades such as flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, and painting
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like airless paint sprayers
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and quality standards
- Nice-to-have skills include experience in restoration industry work, fixture installation, drywall taping, plastering, stucco application, and handyman tasks
