Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our specialty pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide patient service by answering questions regarding medications and pharmacy services.
- Maintain inventory of medications, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Prepare IV infusions and other sterile products following aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document medication administration and maintain accurate patient records.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the pharmacy environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with pharmacy practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration processes and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and IV infusion preparation.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
