Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner/Porter to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in our restaurant. Your proactive approach will ensure that all areas are kept in pristine condition, supporting the overall operations and enhancing the experience for staff, clients, and visitors alike. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a polished appearance
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of machinery or large spaces as needed
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and reporting larger issues to maintenance team
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including trash removal and sidewalk sweeping
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored for efficient operations
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic understanding of facilities maintenance procedures is preferred
