Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to pediatric populations across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and clinic environments, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physiology evaluations, and detailed medical histories, to inform treatment plans
- Administer medications, injections, IV insertions, and other treatments following strict protocols and medical terminology standards
- Monitor patient responses and vital signs continuously; adjust care plans as needed based on patient condition and physician directives
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, specialists in emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), PICU staff, and infectious disease care teams—to coordinate seamless patient care
- Support families by providing education on treatment procedures, post-discharge care, and health maintenance strategies tailored for pediatric needs
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, venipuncture techniques, and basic life support (BLS) to ensure high-quality nursing practices
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Pediatric Nurse in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms, or outpatient clinics
- Prior involvement in Level I or Level II trauma centers with exposure to urgent care environments is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), medical-surgical units, or post-acute care facilities enhances your ability to deliver specialized pediatric nursing services
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms for accurate medical documentation
- Knowledge of infectious disease management within pediatric populations along with experience handling Geriatrics or sub-acute care is advantageous
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and relevant pediatric advanced life support credentials are required for this role
- Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture, medication administration, patient assessment, and vital sign monitoring efficiently in inpatient or outpatient settings
