Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Labor Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of employment and labor law matters, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise will support our organization’s efforts to foster fair labor practices, negotiate employment agreements, and navigate complex legal issues related to workplace policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence organizational strategy while upholding the highest standards of legal integrity and employee rights.
Responsibilities
- Advise management on employment law compliance, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination statutes, and workplace safety regulations
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and settlement documents with employees and external parties
- Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to stay current on evolving labor laws and relevant case law
- Represent the organization in disputes related to wrongful termination, workplace harassment, or other employment-related claims through litigation or alternative dispute resolution methods
- Develop and implement policies related to labor relations, employee rights, and workplace conduct in accordance with applicable laws
- Collaborate with HR on investigations involving employee grievances or disciplinary actions
- Provide training sessions for management and staff on legal compliance topics such as family leave laws, workers' compensation procedures, and tribal law regulations where applicable
Experience
- Proven experience practicing labor law within a law office or corporate legal department environment
- Strong background in legal research and writing skills with proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms
- Demonstrated ability to handle litigation processes effectively from pleadings to resolution
- Familiarity with estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, personal injury law, patent law, and tribal law & regulations is a plus but not mandatory
- Experience in negotiation of employment terms and dispute resolution strategies
- Legal administrative experience including managing case files, drafting legal documents, and maintaining detailed records

Pay: $66,261.10 - $191,841.33 per year
