Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer with strong Java development and Application Security expertise. In this role, you will collaborate with Development and Security teams to identify, analyze, and remediate application vulnerabilities while building secure, enterprise-grade applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform application security scans using Sonatype, Fortify, and WebInspect.
- Analyze vulnerability reports and implement secure Java code fixes.
- Partner with Development and Security teams to prioritize remediation efforts.
- Create and manage remediation tasks using Azure DevOps (AZDO).
- Develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
- Perform unit testing and ensure high-quality, secure code.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support production applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on Java development experience.
- Experience with Sonatype, Fortify, and WebInspect.
- Knowledge of OWASP security principles and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Azure DevOps (AZDO) or similar Agile tools.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and unit testing.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
