Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with some machine operator experience to join our team on the third shift. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a extrus machinery to produce high-quality components and products. Your expertise in machine operation, and adherence to safety standards will ensure efficient production processes. Duties
- Operate and monitor an extrusion machines to produce parts according to specifications.
- Set up machines using technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents, ensuring correct tooling, calibration, and programming.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately to ensure dimensional accuracy using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process, verifying dimensions with standards and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Document production activities accurately, including machine settings, measurements, and inspection results for quality assurance records.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating manufacturing machinery.
- Experience with Fanuc controls or similar automation systems for machine operation.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including stamping, fabrication, packaging, and assembly line operations.
- Skilled in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, shop math skills, and GD&T principles for dimensional measurements.
- Familiarity with factory safety standards and best practices in production environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with troubleshooting skills for industrial equipment maintenance.
- Experience working in manufacturing facilities or factory environments with a focus on quality control and materials handling.
