IBM Maximo Developer / MAS Migration Specialist
Location: White Plains, NY – Hybrid
Contract Length: 12 Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7.5-hour workday, W-2 Employee
Experience Required: 6+ years of hands-on IBM Maximo experience
Work Arrangement: Minimum 3 days per week on-site in White Plains, NY
About the Opportunity
A large enterprise organization is seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Developer / MAS Migration Specialist to support a major Maximo Application Suite (MAS) migration and software optimization initiative.
This is a senior, hands-on Maximo position requiring deep technical and functional knowledge of IBM Maximo 7.6.x and Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8/9). The consultant will work with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, implementation partners, and vendor support resources to migrate, configure, integrate, optimize, and support the Maximo environment.
Candidates must have substantial professional IBM Maximo experience. General Java, application development, or ERP experience without hands-on Maximo/MAS expertise will not be sufficient for this position.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, configure, test, and support solutions within IBM Maximo 7.6.x and Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
- Configure Maximo components including:
- Database Configuration
- Escalations
- Cron Tasks
- Domains
- Conditional Expression Manager
- Security and application configurations
- Develop and maintain Maximo Automation Scripts and Java customizations.
- Troubleshoot application, configuration, integration, and performance issues.
- Support deployment of Maximo solutions into production environments.
MAS Migration & Cloud Transformation:
- Support migration from on-premises Maximo environments to Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8/9).
- Participate in migration planning, configuration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production deployment.
- Work closely with implementation partners and technical teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Assist with software optimization and post-migration stabilization.
- Provide technical and functional guidance related to MAS architecture and capabilities.
Maximo Applications:
Provide technical support and development across Maximo capabilities including:
- Maximo Manage
- Maximo Spatial
- Maximo Mobile
- Related Maximo/MAS applications and integrations
Systems Integration:
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and support integrations between Maximo and external enterprise applications.
- Support integrations involving systems such as SAP and Ariba.
- Collaborate with middleware and integration teams to design and implement reliable data exchanges.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and identify root causes across connected systems.
Database, Reporting & Technical Support:
- Write and execute SQL scripts for troubleshooting, analysis, reporting, and business-requested data extracts.
- Work with relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
- Design, develop, and maintain BIRT reports.
- Support WebSphere-related application and infrastructure issues.
- Monitor application performance and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Troubleshoot system performance, availability, functionality, and production issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field/ equivalent work experience will be considered
- 6+ years of hands-on professional experience supporting, configuring, developing, and/or implementing IBM Maximo.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Maximo 7.6.x and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
- Ability to work on-site in White Plains, NY at least 3 days per week as a W-2 employee
