American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU night shift position requiring cardiac and neuro experience with Epic proficiency in an acute care hospital setting.

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a

Every other weekend requirement

Holiday rotation required

Floating within scope to like units is required, with travelers expected to float first

Epic EMR used; experience is required

Active SC RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may still be considered

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
-
Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required; 2 years preferred
-
Cardiac and neuro experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
SSN and driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; non-local candidates are prioritized

Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; approval is based on facility needs

Pre-assignment orientation modules are completed prior to the start date

Royal blue scrubs are required

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff including contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
