Laborer Foreman - Heavy Civil Bridge Highway Construction
Locations: Rhode Island & Southern/Central Massachusetts

John Rocchio Corporation, headquartered in Smithfield, RI is seeking qualified Laborer Foremen for heavy civil, bridge, and highway projects throughout RI, and south/central Massachusetts (Worcester, Needham, Braintree, Attleboro, Taunton, New Bedford, Fall Reiver, Wareham, etc.). Union members and skilled nonunion laborers interested in joining the union are encouraged to apply. Previous foreman experience is a plus; minimum demonstrated work history on heavy civil, bridge, utility, and/or highway construction projects required.
Responsibilities
- Lead field crews on bridge, highway, and heavy civil projects
- Plan daily work, manpower, and production
- Maintain safe work practices (OSHA compliance)
- Coordinate with superintendents and other crews
- Track materials, equipment, and daily progress
- Mentor apprentices and newer workers
Qualifications
- Heavy civil/bridge/highway experience required
- Foreman or crewlead experience preferred
- OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Union membership required
