Position Overview
The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a Substitute Custodian to support the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities across the district. This operational role is essential to maintaining a healthy learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, flexibility in adapting to various school sites and schedules, and a commitment to upholding high standards of sanitation and care.
Key Responsibilities
The Substitute Custodian will:
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of facilities
- Clean all areas of school buildings in accordance to district standards; including, but not limited to floors, windows, furniture, hallways, and restrooms
- Deliver supplies and materials to intended destinations withing the building
- Empties wastebaskets and picks up and removes trash within the building

- Any relevant custodial certifications or equivalent
