The Mountain Host is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression for guests at Hilltop Ski Area. Serving as the initial point of positive contact, the Mountain Host ensures every guest feels valued and supported from the moment they arrive. This position plays a vital role in fostering a fun, safe, and customer-focused environment by prioritizing guest needs and addressing concerns promptly and professionally. The Mountain Host is expected to maintain a friendly, accommodating demeanor while providing clear information and assistance to enhance the overall guest experience.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Guest Services

Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and departure.

Provide accurate and up-to-date information about Hilltop Ski Area’s programs, events, amenities, and schedules.

Address guest inquiries and concerns in a professional, timely, and solution-oriented manner to ensure satisfaction.

Promote a positive atmosphere by encouraging participation in events and activities.
Safety & Compliance
-
Support and enforce Hilltop’s alcohol policies in accordance with AMCO and local municipal regulations.

Follow and model proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Maintain knowledge of and respond to Hilltop conditions, trends, and emergency procedures as needed.
Facility Support

Assist in keeping the lodge and surrounding guest areas clean and presentable throughout the day.

Wipe down tables, chairs, and other high-touch surfaces regularly.

Clean and restock restrooms with paper products, soap, and other supplies.

Remove and dispose of trash from indoor and outdoor receptacles
-
Vacuum, sweep, and ensure cleanliness is maintained to Hilltop standards.
Team & Event Support

Collaborate with all departments to enhance the guest experience.

Provide support for special events, group visits, and other on-site activities.

Actively engage with the team to share ideas for improvements and efficiencies.

High School Diploma or GED preferred; six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.

Current TAPs Certification (or ability to obtain).

Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather for extended periods.
