Job Summary:
As a Delivery Driver / Warehouse Assistant
As a Warehouse Assistant/Delivery Driver, you are responsible for loading orders onto trucks, delivering orders to the appropriate project location and unloading orders. It is essential that the Warehouse Assistant/Delivery Driver gain familiarity with the products, product location and Warehouse layout to provide the most efficient and highest quality service to our customers. As a Delivery Driver/Warehouse, you’ll represent OWB Company and its Core Values.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading products between warehouse dock and transportation truck.
- Delivering orders to different projects in Greater Los Angeles Area.
- Keeps vehicle fueled in accordance with management instructions and business needs and notifies management of needed repairs.
- Responsible for maintaining and storing materials and equipment in accordance with warehouse guidelines.
- Sorts, organizes, and prepares merchandise from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.
- Verifies documentation and records incoming merchandise by part and quantity
- Always follows safety rules.
- Always follows Warehouse Manager instructions.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a valid California Driver’s license, Class C with clear record.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience. (Required)
- Must have experience towing a trailer. (Required)
- Must have experience with forklift and power jacks. (Preferred)
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED. (Preferred)
- Must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a good attitude and be a Team Player.
Physical Demands:
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
- Requires ability to move around the warehouse and maneuver merchandise when necessary.
- Requires constant exposure to extreme weather conditions when loading and unloading product.
- Requires to Identify and read reports, and UPC labels.
