Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Fulfillment provides strategic and operational leadership for fulfillment operations at our Obetz distribution facility. This role oversees picking, packing, shipping, labor planning, and workflow optimization to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
As a senior operations leader, this position manages Fulfillment Managers, Supervisors, and frontline teams while driving operational performance, workforce engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Manager plays a critical role in scaling operations during peak seasons while maintaining high standards for service levels, cost control, safety, and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fulfillment operations including picking, packing, shipping, and outbound logistics execution
- Develop labor strategies aligned to operational forecasts and seasonal demand
- Monitor key operational metrics including productivity, order accuracy, safety, and cost per unit
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable process improvements
- Lead and develop Fulfillment Managers and Supervisors while building a strong leadership pipeline
- Partner cross-functionally with Assembly, Inventory Control, Receiving, Transportation, and HR teams
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and quality expectations
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational leadership experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution operations
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, or multi-level teams
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale seasonal workforce scaling in high-volume environments
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and fulfillment technology
- Experience managing operational budgets and performance metrics
- Proven ability to lead operational change and continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred
- Experience in food production, CPG, or direct-to-consumer fulfillment environments
- Exposure to automation, robotics, or advanced fulfillment technologies
- Multi-site operations leadership experience
Schedule
First Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
This leadership role may require extended hours and occasional weekend support during peak seasonal periods to support operational demands.
