Kids Dental Corner Pediatric Dentistry – Burbank, CA
Kids Dental Corner Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a friendly, dependable, and experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team.
We are an established pediatric dental practice in Burbank focused on creating a positive and comfortable experience for children and their families. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with kids, works well in a team, and takes pride in providing excellent patient care.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for scheduled procedures
- Take dental X-rays as permitted
- Provide chairside assistance for restorative treatment, crowns, extractions, space maintainers, and other pediatric procedures
- Help patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their appointments
- Follow infection control, sterilization, and OSHA protocols
- Maintain clean and organized operatories
- Assist with charting and clinical documentation
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene instructions when appropriate
- Work efficiently with the clinical and front-office team to keep the schedule running smoothly
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Pediatric dental experience strongly preferred
- DA or RDA credentials preferred, depending on experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with young children and parents
- Dependable, punctual, positive, and team-oriented
Extra Bonus
Orthodontic experience is a big plus! Candidates with experience assisting with orthodontic procedures, taking orthodontic records, impressions or scans, placing and removing wires or elastics as permitted, or working in a pediatric/orthodontic office are especially encouraged to apply.
