We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The EHS Specialist is responsible for reporting to Federal, State and Local officials.
- Manage all reporting to government agencies in a timely manner
- Oversee all environmental regulations as related to production
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
- Provide training on safety protocols and procedures to employees
- Prepare reports on safety performance and compliance with regulations
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science OR 4 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in report writing and documentation
- Familiarity with DES, OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory agencies
- Must attend HAZWOPPER and RCRA training
