Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Support meal preparation by organizing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of prepared items
- Follow safety standards in production, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including kitchen stations and storage spaces
- Help with food service activities by setting up serving stations and assisting with catering or special event setups
- Adhere to food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry demonstrating strong kitchen skills and culinary knowledge
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives for slicing and other prep tools
- Excellent attention to detail in food handling, meal preparation, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions accurately in a fast-paced environment
