As a Packaging Floor Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products are packaged efficiently and meet the highest standards for shipment and storage. This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 11:55 pm to 8:00 am, located at our Columbus, WI production facility.

Set up, operate, and monitor a variety of packaging equipment, including case erectors, sealers, palletizers, and stretch wrap machines.

Facilitate machine setups, changeovers, procedural adjustments, and shutdown sanitation cleanup.

Load product-specific boxes and adjust equipment for different box sizes and products.

Monitor packaging lines to ensure proper processing and packaging according to company specifications.

Perform quality checks to ensure weights, counts, and packaging characteristics meet standards.

Troubleshoot and correct machine malfunctions, and communicate issues to the Team Lead as needed.

Operate lift trucks and pallet jacks to move finished products and packaging supplies.

Coordinate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and assist with job rotations and break relief as needed.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including regular cleaning of machines and work areas.

Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned to support production and packaging operations.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Three (3) months of packaging experience preferred.

Ability to speak, read, and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication and comprehension of instructions.

Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with fractions and decimals.

Mechanical aptitude to operate and adjust packaging equipment.

Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing situations.

Basic computer skills, including use of touch screens and data entry on tablets.

Company-issued pallet jack and lift truck driver certification (training provided if needed).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds), bending, and reaching.
