Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of dishes with precision, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production for large-scale service.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative recipes and ensuring ingredient availability.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards.
- Handle food with care, demonstrating excellent knife skills and proper food handling techniques during meal preparation.
- Support high-volume production needs while maintaining quality and consistency across all dishes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.
- Participate in catering events by preparing meals according to specifications and serving guests professionally.
Experience
- Proven culinary experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, with a focus on high-volume production.
- Demonstrated expertise in food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food safety management.
- Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in fine dining establishments or catering environments is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling protocols, and kitchen safety standards.
- Skilled in menu planning, meal preparation, and serving within fast-paced settings.
- Excellent knife skills combined with a solid understanding of food industry best practices for quality and safety.
