Job Summary
The Controller is responsible for leading all accounting and financial reporting activities across multiple U.S.-based sites within a commercial door business. This role ensures the integrity of financial data, compliance with U.S. GAAP, and alignment with operational and strategic goals.
As a key finance leader, the Controller partners closely with plant leadership, operations, and executive management to drive cost transparency, improve margins, and maintain a disciplined control environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate both strategically and tactically in a multi-location manufacturing setting
Responsibilities

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across all locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and location-level reporting
- Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation (WIP and finished goods)
- Partner with plant leadership to analyze production costs, identify inefficiencies, and drive margin improvement
- Establish and maintain standardized accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across all facilities
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and executive reporting
- Serve as primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and audit readiness
- Drive ERP and financial system optimization, including process standardization and reporting automation
- Lead, develop, and mentor accounting teams, including plant-level finance personnel
- Support strategic initiatives including site integrations, operational improvements, and potential M&A activity
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA designation
- Experience in multi-location manufacturing or building products industry
- ERP system experience (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar)

Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 15 - 30%

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
