The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Teaching Assistant Special Education for our small class ABA program. The successful candidate must have NYS Teacher Assistant and experience working with children with Autism and related disabilities. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will perform the following:
- Engage with colleagues during staff training and learning opportunities
- Provide behavioral interventions as determined by BIPs
- Collect and input data collection for BIPs
- Support whole group, small group, and 1:1 instruction
- Work as a contributing member of a team
- Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques
- Perform all responsibilities in a manner that guarantees the safety of our students
- Assist in the arrival and dismissal of students
- Support the delivery of instruction using district-wide curriculum.
- Support the classroom teacher in classroom management and delivery of instruction

NYS Certification is required at time of application
