An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Repair, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in computer hardware repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support is required. Experience in a K-12 educational environment is preferred.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Dell, HP, Lenovo, or other relevant technology certifications are preferred.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, peripheral devices, mobile devices, printers, networking fundamentals, and diagnostic software.
Must be able to diagnose, repair, install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and related technology equipment.
Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with school stakeholders, district personnel, vendors, state and federal agencies, and the general public.
Must possess strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills and be able to prioritize multiple work orders while meeting deadlines.
Must possess a valid Louisiana driver's license and be able to travel throughout the district as required. Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with school stakeholders, state and federal agencies and the general public.
