American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and proficiency in advanced interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.

Progressive cardiac cath lab performing cardiac, peripheral, vascular (diagnostic and interventional), EP, and IR procedures
-
Average daily census of 6 patients
-
Day shift, 5x8 hours, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
-
Weekend coverage required every other weekend
-
Call requirement up to 3 times per week, with weekday call rotation alternating with weekend call, and must reside and be able to respond within 30 minutes

Advanced equipment used includes Impella, IABP, Inari, EKOS, Angiojet, Rotoblator, Shockwave, Diamondback, and Medrad/Acist injectors
-
Imaging equipment includes Siemens floor mount and Cannon labs
-
EMR is Epic with Cupid documentation, experience required
-
Highly efficient Code STEMI team with system-best door-to-balloon times
-
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT(R) certifications required

CCI RCIS certification preferred

LSRTBE state license required if applicable

Proficiency in embolization, coiling, ablations, and implants including ports, pacemakers, and ICDs required
-
Skilled with Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, and thrombectomy devices
-
Experience in STEMI care with focus on first-to-balloon/door-to-balloon times under 60 minutes

Capable of performing peripheral and EP procedures independently

Epic EMR charting experience required

Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
-
Must be able to work independently and confidently across all cardiac cath lab procedures
-
May be assigned to an emergency team requiring the candidate to remain onsite until the event passes or serve as part of a relief team, with pay details communicated on a per-event basis

Strong teamwork and patient-first mindset expected, along with willingness to share expertise and support colleagues
-
Responsibilities include venous access, port accessing/management, central venous access and line care, EKG lead placement, access site preparation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
-
Additional procedural duties include equipment set up, room circulating, maintaining sterile fields while scrubbing, and use of vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
-
Orientation is held five days a week

Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this facility within the past year
-
Does not accept local candidates; must reside more than 65 miles from the facility
