We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, early intervention strategies, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool teaching, and early childhood education best practices.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
- Conduct ongoing child development instruction to support literacy education, math skills, physical education activities, and overall developmental milestones.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental needs to ensure collaborative support.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
- Ensure safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols while supervising children during activities both indoors and outdoors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for early learners including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Experience with special education needs and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire.
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons through lesson planning expertise tailored for young children’s learning styles.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to early childhood education excellence.
