We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers, CNAs, or HHAs to provide exceptional in-home and facility-based care to our diverse client population. This role involves supporting individuals with various health and mobility needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on clients' lives.
Duties
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, noting any changes in health status or behavior
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory care needs through specialized techniques
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively
- Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and nutritional needs while adhering to dietary restrictions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with household tasks including laundry, cleaning, and light housekeeping to ensure a safe environment
- Support hospice or palliative care patients with sensitivity and professionalism
- Follow all safety protocols related to infection control and patient safety standards
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous
- Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices is desirable
- Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional certifications such as dementia care is a plus
- Experience operating medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts is beneficial
- Long-term care experience including hospice or memory care settings is highly valued
- Previous caregiving roles involving patient observation, assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, and light housekeeping are essential
