Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work in various conditions.
Duties
- Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as soil, gravel, and asphalt to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including loaders and backhoes.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of material deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating heavy machinery on construction sites.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record. Two or more years of CDL driving experience required.
- Experience in a dump truck. Hauling asphalt, sand, gravel, and construction materials.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
