Job Summary:
The Water Truck Driver is responsible for driving a truck to transport and deliver water to designated locations, such as construction sites, or remote crews and also driving a truck equipped with sprinkling attachment to spray water on roadways in order to control dust.

Drives a water truck to deliver clean water to construction sites.

Inspects the truck before each delivery to ensure it is in good working order and that there are no leaks.

Loads the truck with the correct amount of water for the planned route.

Drives the truck safely and carefully to avoid accidents or damage to the load.

Follows all traffic laws and regulations while in route.

Delivers the water to the correct location and unload it according to the instructions.

Keep track of the water usage at each stop and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.

Refills the truck as needed throughout the day and returns it to the home base when finished.

Performs routine maintenance on the truck, such as checking the oil and tire pressure.

Reports any mechanical problems with the truck to the supervisor immediately.

Complies with all safety regulations to protect oneself, the cargo, and others on the road.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EducationExperience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A) required.

Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required.
- Two plus years' experience driving a water truck preferred but not required.

Clean driving record required.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Excellent depth perception and reaction time.

Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and inspect and maintain machinery.

Must be able to work outside, for long periods of time.

Must be able to work in all weather types, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
