Position Overview
The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries in a modern urgent care setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing comprehensive patient assessments and medical evaluations
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Performing minor procedures and urgent care interventions
- Prescribing medications appropriately
- Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to provide efficient, high-quality care
- Delivering compassionate, patient-focused medical care in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Emergency medicine experience highly preferred
- Urgent care experience preferred
- Experienced ICU and ER Registered Nurses transitioning into the NP role are encouraged to apply
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff
