Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of rebar, formwork, and concrete placement to ensure structural integrity.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as framing, roofing, and finishing.
- Support heavy lifting and material handling to keep the job site organized and productive.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to follow project specifications accurately.
- Perform masonry work including stucco, bricklaying, and tile laying to enhance building exteriors and interiors.
- Conduct demolition, renovation, restoration, and cleanup activities to prepare sites for new construction or repairs.
- Assist with heavy equipment operation such as concrete pumps or other machinery as needed under supervision.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot tools and equipment effectively.
- Construction estimating skills for understanding project scope and material needs.
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing, and pouring techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of various construction trades including carpentry (trim carpentry, framing), masonry (masonry work), roofing, plastering, metal stud framing, and flooring installation.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques, heavy equipment operation, commercial driving licenses (CDL), and safety protocols on construction sites.
