Position Summary
William Tell Hotel is seeking a skilled and dependable Hotel Engineer to join our team. The Hotel Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel's building systems, guest rooms, and equipment to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our guests and staff. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and building systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
- Repair and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to identify and correct maintenance issues.
- Maintain swimming pool, spa, and other hotel amenities (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire safety, and local building codes.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Assist with emergency repairs and be available for on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe engineering workshop.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trade preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or hotel engineering experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
