The Landscape Maintenance Worker will perform general lawn and landscape maintenance, including lawn mowing, weeding, edging, yard waste cleanup and removal, proper routine plant maintenance such as palm, tree, and shrub trimming, and will assist in ensuring the effective and proper care of horticultural displays and living collections. Previous experience in professional landscape maintenance is required.
The Landscape maintenance Worker must be fluent in English and have a minimum of 5 years of professional landscape or horticulture experience in South Florida.
Applicants must also meet the following:
- Possess the ability to properly ultilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Work in an upright position for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (eg. heat, cold, wind, rain).
- Walk, enter and exit vehicles, and climb stairs; Handle, grasp, and use objects and equipment.
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property as required to meet the job functions.
- Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 6ft.)
