Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced individual or company for the role of: Experienced Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P).
This position offers unlimited growth potential. A minimum 2 years experience is required and an A&P License with Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred.
Job Duties:
- Perform diagnostic, mechanical, and maintenance duties on various General Aviation Aircraft models while maintaining accurate compliant logs.
- Experience with ground handling and fueling various aircraft types.
- Order needed parts and maintain shop inventories as required.
- Must have experience with maintenance and repairs on General Aviation Aircraft.
- Perform aircraft repair and assembly operations alone and with a team.
- Mobile repair opportunities are available.
- Flight Training and Education assistance available.
- Sign-on Bonus based-on experience available.
The Schedule is normally First Shift and hours are flexible.
Pay is Negotiable - Salary + commissions and/or bonus, and is flexible to the candidate based on experience and role.
The business location is on a public airport with paved runways and a 5,000+ sqft hangar with attached office with lobby and restroom facilities.
Must Haves:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate with 2 yrs experience
- Basic A&P Mechanic's Tools
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and experience with online manuals
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to oversee other's work
- Must possess valid passport or State issued driver’s license
Nice to Haves:
- Formal training and experience with advanced systems and avionics
- Aircraft assembly or build experience
- Current Inspection Authorization - IA
- Experience with Part 145 operations
- FCC Radio License
- Prior Repair Shop Management Experience
Pay: $24.85 - $29.92 per hour
