T and D Communications is a privately held information and communication technology services corporation in business since 1982 with operations in California and Texas. The Technician I(90%) is an entry-level field technician responsible for supporting low-voltage installations throughout Southern California. Working under the direction of senior technicians and project leadership, this role assists with basic cabling tasks, equipment installation, labeling, and jobsite preparation. The Technician I is expected to learn industry standards, develop technical skills, and contribute to successful project execution while maintaining T&D Communications’ quality and safety standards.

Experience as a Low Voltage / Data Cable Technician.

Experience leading and managing small crews of 2-8 technicians.

Strong background in installing and troubleshooting structured cabling systems in retail environments.

Able to meet the physical requirements of the job.

Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the jobs require.

Strong knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA). Please list certifications if any.

Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and site maps.

Experience working with Copper and Fiber.

Ability to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights of 40 plus feet.

Excellent customer relationship and communication skills with Project Managers; verbal and written.

Highly proficient with the use of email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn internal systems.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.
