We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing inventory, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and release purchase orders
- Review inventory/demand, order quantity and lead times to avoid supply gaps
- Coordinate with Manufacturing to address lead time issues
- Coordinate with Accounting and Vendors to resolve invoice issues
- Meet with and maintain vendor relationships
- Maintain accurate inventory controls
- Resolve inventory rejection/return goods with vendors
- Coordinate between Engineering and Manufacturing on R&D projects
- Update existing sales orders with changes
- Maintain and review open orders report
- Maintain daily receiving accuracy
- Use Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat to create and update documents
- Provide support to other departments and individuals as needed
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
- Experience in production planning, leadership, purchasing, inventory control and relevant supply chain functions
- Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years purchasing experience
- Manufacturing experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft office products
- ERP software experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office/Manufacturing Environment
- Constant sitting
- Occasional walking, bending, stooping and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Will be asked to spend time in the manufacturing plant
- Manufacturing plant has high level of noise
- Must submit to pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
