Mount Vernon Community School District has an opening for a Kindergarten teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This person will work collaboratively with other elementary teachers and leadership at Washington Elementary School to develop, implement, and evaluate instructional programming.

Washington Elementary is a Preschool through 4th grade building with approximately 550 students. Most of our grade levels have 5 sections of classes with anywhere from 18-23 students per class. Students at Washington Elementary participate in all general education subjects in their classrooms as well as Music, Art, Spanish, Guidance, PE, and Library as specials.
