Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Journeyman/Master technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Install, service, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and building automation systems.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical systems and components.
- Conduct maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to perform repairs and installations with precision.
- Diagnose complex problems involving HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on work performed, and communicate clearly with customers regarding system status and recommendations.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with HVAC system installation and property maintenance projects.
- Proven service technician experience with a strong background in HVAC system repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, HVAC design plans, and building automation controls.
- Mechanical knowledge covering plumbing, electrical systems, boilers, appliances repair, and refrigeration technologies.
- Skilled in using hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices for troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics related to HVAC/R equipment repairs; familiarity with mechanical systems repair is essential.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety protocols.
