Job Overview
Friendly Ford of Hamilton is seeking a detail-oriented Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be required to work every Saturday. This role will be responsible for assisting technicians and customers by ordering the correct parts for their vehicle needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and maintain a positive, friendly demeanor. Friendly Ford of Hamilton will soon be relocating to a brand-new state of the art dealership (also in Hamilton, NY) and is looking to enhance their culture with strong career-oriented team members.
Duties
- Help technicians and customers identify and order the parts required.
- Use catalogs, computer systems, and other resources to find and confirm the correct parts for vehicles.
- Inventory management - maintain accurate inventory levels, track stock and ensure parts are readily available.
- Process sales, handle payments and issue receipts/invoices.
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and offer assistance to customers remotely.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized sales area, enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Stay informed about automotive service offerings to provide knowledgeable assistance.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in retail math for accurate pricing and inventory assessment.
- Experience in cash handling procedures is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage stock and fulfill orders efficiently.
- Previous experience in automotive service or related fields is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
