Job Overview
The Quality Technician supports customer, supplier, and internal quality activities to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, A2LA, ISO 14001, customer-specific requirements, and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and maintain Customer PPAP documentation.
- Review, approve, and maintain Supplier PPAP documentation.
- Coordinate customer and supplier annual validations.
- Coordinate internal and external laboratory testing and test requests.
- Review and maintain incoming material certifications.
- Verify and maintain annual supplier certifications.
- Perform and document MSA and Cpk studies.
- Support APQP activities, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and customer requirements.
- Create, revise, and maintain work instructions, control instructions, inspection standards, forms, and quality documentation.
- Understand and interpret process flow diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Investigate customer and supplier complaints.
- Complete and manage 8D reports and corrective actions.
- Participate in QRQC meetings and follow up on assigned actions.
- Perform root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and other quality tools.
- Coordinate containment activities and nonconforming product.
- Support first-piece inspections and production quality verification.
- Coordinate gauge calibration activities and maintain measurement records.
- Participate in Layered Process Audits (LPA).
- Support internal, customer, registrar, and supplier audits.
- Monitor and report quality KPIs including PPM, scrap, customer complaints, supplier performance, and quality trends.
- Analyze quality data and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain quality records and document control.
- Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, auditors, and internal departments.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve quality concerns.
- Coordinate multiple projects while meeting customers, suppliers, and internal deadlines.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and quality system improvements.
- Attend internal and external training as required, including travel to other company locations, customer sites, suppliers, or training facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Technical Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ manufacturing experience required; automotive manufacturing preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and data entry.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $37,500.00 per year
