A growing operation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support the inspection, repair, and upkeep of material handling equipment and assist with minor building maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment
- Perform routine checks on electrical and power units throughout the facility
- Identify malfunctions and complete needed repairs on electrical systems and vehicle engines
- Handle light building maintenance including changing bulbs, painting, caulking, and similar repairs
- Maintain records of service cycles and maintenance work performed
- Report damages, defects, and equipment issues to leadership
- Order spare and replacement parts and complete related documentation
- Assist with daily inventory counts
- Move equipment between buildings as needed
- Follow all safety procedures, GMP requirements, and company policies
- Support additional maintenance-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior maintenance mechanic experience in an industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
- Understanding of electrical testing and repair related to material handling equipment
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain a positive attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time
