Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including X-rays and blood work.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal health and behavior, providing necessary updates to the veterinary team.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Provide support in animal husbandry practices, ensuring proper care and handling of all animals.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and training techniques.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
Requirements
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred.
- Experience in animal care or veterinary settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of animal physiology and husbandry practices.
- Skills in dog handling is advantageous.
- Familiarity with X-ray equipment and procedures is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
