Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Fabrication Welder & Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble steel components and equipment per drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Perform MIG and stick welding on carbon steel and structural components
- Cut, grind, fit, and finish parts using shop tools and fabrication equipment
- Repair and recondition recycling equipment, frames, hoppers, conveyors, and structural components
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and basic layouts
- Maintain weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and overall workmanship standards
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop best practices
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with shop leadership, service technicians, and project teams
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with MIG welding; stick welding experience
- Ability to read basic fabrication drawings and measure accurately
- Experience working with carbon steel and structural materials
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with recycling, baling, conveying, or heavy industrial equipment
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment assembly experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
