Overview
*The position we are attempting to fill includes mostly daytime hours with some evening hours* *This position is also a tipped position*
We are looking for a well motivated, punctual and hard working line cook.
You will be required to know how to cook all dishes on menu as well as weekly specials. You will be required to learn your station. This will include setup, prep work, cleaning and sanitizing, operating equipment and closing the station down. We are looking for someone with a passion for food as well as a drive to focus on quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision and consistency, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation for daily service
- Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed to maintain hygiene standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other utensils
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
- Support team members during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks
- Follow all health department regulations and company policies regarding food safety and sanitation
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or catering environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with menu planning and fine dining presentation is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed
