Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems in commercial settings. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen cooking equipment , and mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and test meters to identify faults within complex systems.
- Repair or replace components including compressors, motors, valves, pumps, wiring, and control panels to restore system functionality.
- Install new HVAC/R equipment and upgrades following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Diagnose issues related to building automation systems (BAS) and integrate controls for optimal system operation.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for compliance and future reference.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations such as EPA standards for refrigerants (including ammonia refrigeration) and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Support property maintenance tasks as needed, including boiler repairs or appliance servicing in commercial environments.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely while traveling between job sites efficiently.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience combined with service technician expertise in HVAC/R systems.
- Proficiency reading schematics and understanding HVAC design principles for effective troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing mechanical systems such as boilers or pumps.
- Electrical diagnostics skills using tools like ohmmeters; ability to troubleshoot wiring issues accurately.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration applications.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) for managing climate control solutions.
- Experience with plumbing installations and repairs; welding skills are a plus for custom fabrication or repairs.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience with HVAC system maintenance is required.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair diverse equipment including appliances or property maintenance systems.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams confidently.
- Strong field service skills with excellent problem-solving abilities under pressure.

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
