- Animal restraint: Ability to safely handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Animal physiology: Understanding of the anatomy, physiology, and behavior of different animal species
- Veterinary critical care: Knowledge of emergency procedures and ability to provide critical care to sick or injured animals
- Veterinary: Familiarity with veterinary terminology, medications, and treatment protocols
- Animal care: Ability to provide basic care such as feeding, grooming, and exercise for animals
- Animal husbandry: Knowledge of animal breeding, nutrition, and general health maintenance
- Kennel: Experience in managing kennel operations, including cleaning, feeding, and exercise routines for animals
