Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Turf Sports Field Installer to join our dynamic groundskeeping team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of turf sports fields to meet the highest standards of safety, durability, and playability. Duties
- Install new turf sports fields by preparing the ground, laying turf panels, and securing them properly using hand tools and power equipment
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of turf rolls, soil amendments, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as trimming, gardening, and general groundskeeping to enhance overall field aesthetics
- Maintain equipment through regular inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and repairs to ensure safety and longevity
Skills
- Proficiency in installation, repair, and management for sports fields
- Strong background in athletic field groundskeeping with knowledge of turf care best practices
- Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, and lawn care techniques
- Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners as well as power tools including chainsaws and trimmers safely
- Skilled in heavy lifting and manual handling of materials using proper techniques for safety
- Capable of operating company vehicles responsibly for transportation across job sites
- Understanding of power tool safety protocols and equipment maintenance procedures
- Experience with grounds maintenance equipment operation including aerators, seeders, sprayers, and irrigation systems
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for scheduling maintenance tasks effectively
