Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have multiple years experience in fabricating high-quality cabinetry and fixtures for residential projects. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must have a thorough knowledge of power and hand tools associated with cabinet building, as well as being able to identify different species of wood. Is familiar with all types of cabinetry; flush inset, overlay and frameless. The ideal candidate will be able to jump into any position in a cabinet shop to fill needs as required. For an ideal candidate this job could turn into a foreman position.
Duties
- Fabricate cabinets and custom furniture pieces according to design specifications.
- Installing hardware
- Milling lumber to specific dimensions for trim lists
- Build and assemble cabinetry using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Putty and sand cabinets so they are ready for finish
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Conduct heavy lifting as required during the assembly process.
Requirements
- 5 Years
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and materials.
- Positive attitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Willing to work overtime as needed
