Meridian Learning has an opening for a part-time intern for the 2026-2027 school year at our lab preschool, Meridian Montessori.
Essential Functions
- Prepare the classroom environment
- Manage the “flow” of the classroom
- Support children in their own resolution of conflicts and concerns
- Be a role model for children in speech, tone, demeanor, and actions
- Serve as a record keeper of the work children are engaged in and children’s social interactions
- Help support classroom activity
- Go outdoors daily in all seasons, including during winter months
Competencies
- Have an understanding of (or interest in learning about) Montessori philosophy
- Enjoy working with young children (age 2.5-6 years)
- Have a strong work ethic
- Actively seek professional growth and development
- Solution-oriented
Internship Requirements
A background check is required. Candidates should be pursuing an education or other relevant degree, have previous experience with children and authorization to work in the United States.
Position Details
The hours are T/Th 8:45 am to 12:15 pm. This is a part-time internship during the academic year. Candidates who can commit to the full school year receive priority consideration.
